BIRMINGHAM, AL — As COVID-19 numbers have seen a downward trend since Gov. Kay Ivey’s mask order was put in place July 15, the governor announced this week the order will continue into October.

This news from Montgomery was not the only government news popping up in the state this past week, as cities all over the state held municipal elections, including Birmingham metro cities like Hoover, Trussville, Mountain Brook and Vestavia Hills.

Hoover Man Indicted On Conspiracy And Fraud Charges

A Hoover man was indicted this week on 28 counts of conspiracy and other fraud charges related to his purchase, manufacture and distribution of drug products that had never been reviewed or approved by the FDA, but that he claimed were effective cancer treatments.
