Over the past seven days, Direct Relief has delivered 509 shipments of requested medical aid to 47 U.S. states and territories and 16 countries worldwide.

The shipments contained 1.2 million defined daily doses of medications, including rare disease therapies, cancer treatments, insulin, antibiotics, and other essential medications, respiratory therapies, as well as medical supplies for Covid-19 response efforts, including personal protective equipment.

This medical aid included shipments departing for storm impacted communities in United States.

In the U.S., Direct Relief delivered 488 shipments weighing 22,961 pounds and containing 849,559 doses of medications.

Thousands of people were vaccinated against Covid-19 at the San Juan Convention Center in Puerto Rico on Wednesday, March 31, 2021. Since January 1, 2021, Direct Relief has delivered 5,906 shipments to 1,420 partner organizations in 52 U.S. states and territories and 63 countries.

These shipments contained 62.6 million defined daily doses of medication valued at $289.9 million (wholesale) and totaling 2.4 million lbs. (1,200 tons).
