COVID-19 CASES REQUIRING HOSPITALIZATION IS 39

APRIL 19, 2020 FLORIDA DEPT. OF HEALTH REPORT
BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Brevard County has reported 215 cases of COVID-19 as of Sunday morning, according to the Florida Department of Health.
According to the Florida Department of Health, the demographic breakdown of the age of those testing positive ranges from 1 to 94, with the median age being 52 years of age, and 50 percent are male and 50 percent are female.
The current Brevard list includes 208 Florida residents and seven non-residents.
Brevard COVID-19 cases requiring hospitalization is 39. Seven deaths have been reported as a result of COVID-19 in Brevard County, including four since last Sunday.
The Florida Department of Health reports 5,674 tests have been administered in Brevard County. According to Sunday’s report, 5,453 of those tests have come back negative.
While Florida’s testing has increased, the percent of those testing positive for COVID-19 overall is 10.3-percent.
The Florida Department of Health has reported a total of 25,996 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the state with 3,766 hospitalized.
Deaths attributed to COVID-19 in Florida are 764 as of Sunday morning.
In the U.S., 722,761 cases have been reported and 33,903 deaths have been attributed to COVID-19. Global cases reported are 2,355,676 with 162,032 global deaths.
