LA CROSSE, Wis. (WXOW) – The Wisconsin Department of Health Services reported 32 new cases of COVID-19 in La Crosse County on Thursday.

Details weren’t available on the demographics from the La Crosse County Health Department. They will hold their weekly briefing at noon Friday.

It increases the total number of cases in the county to 1,109.

La Crosse County listed two establishments on their Outbreaks and Investigations page. They are the State Room in La Crosse on August 19 from 10-11 pm. Added on Wednesday is the EconoLodge from August 19-21 from 3-11 p.m. Both are considered high-risk according to county guidelines. The health department said that anyone who was at a high-risk location on the dates mentioned should fill out a Risk Screening and Referral Form for referral for testing, if appropriate, quarantine at home, and limit contact with others.

The Wisconsin Department of Health Services said that five people, or a decrease of three, are in the hospital with COVID-19 in the western region of the state. Two are in intensive care, two fewer than the day before. The region is comprised of Buffalo, Crawford, Grant, Jackson, La Crosse, Monroe, Trempealeau, and Vernon Counties.
