MONROE, La. (KNOE) – A Madison Parish family is asking for help finding a missing relative.

They are looking for Pamela Oliver. Family members say Oliver was last seen by a friend on the evening of Aug. 7, 2020.

“Someone called me and said also that they saw him and my sister in Lake Providence the night before,” says Rose Williams, Oliver’s sister. “Like they were scuffling, or something was going on. But when he came back to where he was at, she was no longer with him.”

Williams says that same friend showed up to a local hospital claiming he had a gunshot wound. Williams says he also has ties to law enforcement. “They’re not trying to do anything to help us. Like, they’re trying to sweep it under the rug because it involves family members that’s working at the police department.”

That’s why Williams says family members are taking it upon themselves to find Oliver. “We’re not getting any answers. We’re calling. They can’t tell us nothing,” Williams says.

“I’m looking for my sister, because I know if that was me out there, she’d search, and she’d look for me. We just know in our heart. We feel that we know it ain’t right. It’s been four days now. Four days, and I have not seen my sister. Nor have her kids heard anything from my sister.”

Williams says the family found Oliver’s car on Monday on a backroad by an abandoned house in Madison Parish. Inside, Williams says they found personal information scattered as well as the clothes Oliver was last seen wearing. They then alerted authorities.

“We telling y’all that the clothes she had on the last time that we saw her is in the backseat of the car? Why was it not processed? I’m not understanding why would they leave that in the car? That’s evidence.”

Now, Oliver’s family is reaching out to whoever can help them find answers.

“We’re asking anybody if y’all seen my sister between Friday and now… anywhere, could y’all please contact us? If anybody have my sister, we are begging y’all to please bring her home.”

The Madison Parish Sheriff’s Office and Louisiana State Police are investigating.

When asked about the family’s comments, local law enforcement agencies refused to comment because the investigation is active and ongoing.

If you have any information regarding Pamela Oliver’s whereabouts, you’re asked to call the Madison Parish Sheriff’s Office at 318-574-1831.
