MONROE, La. (KNOE) – Alexandria businesswoman Candy Christophe (D) is running for Louisiana’s Fifth Congressional District seat.
Christophe said her qualifications include owning multiple businesses and being a clinical social worker and addiction counselor. She said she has years of training in complex problem-solving.
Christophe supports a nationwide stay at home order to get the COVID-19 pandemic under control. She also wants to fight misinformation about the pandemic.
Also on her list is working on uniting the country, regardless of race, culture, or political party.
“We need to be unified again, and maybe that’s one thing that COVID will do ultimately in the end, is to help us to see that we all are truly our brother’s keepers and we all need to be more loving and compassionate with one another.”
