Confirmed COVID-19 cases in northeast Louisiana climbed to 786 in Saturday data from the Louisiana Department of Health but locally confirmed cases exceed LDH numbers.

Ouachita Parish reported 13 new cases for 483 total while Franklin Parish added 11 to reach 78 cases. Union Parish hit 75 cases, an increase of four.

Ouachita Parish also reported one additional COVID-19-related death, bringing the parish total to 12. There have been 23 deaths across NELA.

As of Friday, the Jackson Parish Sheriff’s Office is reporting 34 local cases compared to the 14 reported by LDH.

Adjusting for the local numbers brings the NELA confirmed case total to 808.
