Increased COVID-19 testing across northeast Louisiana led to the first double-digit climb in cases in Ouachita Parish.
Between Monday and Tuesday number updates, Ouachita cases jumped from 44 to 57. According to LDH numbers, 98 new tests were completed in the same time period.
Cases in Lincoln Parish increased by four to 12 while Jackson Parish also added a case.
The case numbers in the remainder of NELA parishes remained relatively consistent.
A case in Caldwell Parish was reassigned to another location, reducing the case count to zero. West Carroll and Tensas are also without a confirmed case.
Total cases across NELA now number 92. Statewide COVID-19 positive numbers reached 5,237 on Tuesday with 239 deaths reported.
