LA CROSSE, Wis. (WXOW) – The Wisconsin Department of Health Services reported 24 new cases of COVID-19 in La Crosse County on Friday.
The La Crosse County Health Department didn’t provide details on the cases. 32 new cases were reported Thursday.
It increases the total number of cases in the county to 1,133.
La Crosse County added one new establishment to its Outbreaks and Investigations page. Brother’s on August 20-21 was added on Friday. The other two are the State Room in La Crosse on August 19 from 10-11 pm and the EconoLodge from August 19-21 from 3-11 p.m. All three are considered high-risk according to county guidelines. The health department said that anyone who was at a high-risk location on the dates mentioned should fill out a Risk Screening and Referral Form for referral for testing, if appropriate, quarantine at home, and limit contact with others.
The Wisconsin Department of Health Services said that three people, or a drop of two, are in the hospital with COVID-19 in the western region of the state. Only one is in intensive care. The region is comprised of Buffalo, Crawford, Grant, Jackson, La Crosse, Monroe, Trempealeau, and Vernon Counties.
