HENDERSON – Nevada State College announced they received a $50,000 donation from the Gene Haas Foundation, a philanthropic organization within Haas Automotive. Known as the largest tool builder in the western world, Haas Automotive is opening a manufacturing facility in West Henderson.

The donation was designated to help students through the impact of COVID-19 – be it the loss of income, paying bills or other needs.

“We are very grateful for this generous donation by the Gene Haas Foundation,” said Stefanie Coleman, Ed.D., Dean of Students. “The Student Assistance Payment Program is a critical program that many Nevada State students rely on as we continue to analyze their developing needs throughout the pandemic.”

Nevada State students may apply for assistance at www.nsc.edu/studentemergencyfunds. More information and resources are on the @NSCCARECorner Facebook page or by emailing laura.hinojosa@nsc.edu.
