Grammy-winning rockers Foo Fighters have canceled their 25th anniversary “The Van Tour 2020” – including an Oklahoma City show at Chesapeake Energy Arena – due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
As previously reported, the tour commemorating the band’s silver anniversary was to take the Foo Fighters to some of the same cities where their first shows took place in 1995.
The trek was originally slated to start April 12 at the Talking Stick Resort Arena in Phoenix, Arizona, with an April 16 OKC show at The Peake.
As previously reported, the band announced in March that it was postponing the tour’s launch to October due to the pandemic, and the OKC concert was rescheduled for Dec. 1.
But the hitmaking rockers announced today on social media that they are now canceling “The Van Tour 2020” as the COVID-19 crisis continues.
Tickets will be refunded through patrons’ point of purchase. For more information on the OKC show, go to www.chesapeakearena.com/updates.
