The Criterion, 500 E Sheridan, will host its first concert in nearly five months this weekend.

The Bricktown venue is featuring Texas country music star Cody Johnson in concert at 8 p.m. Saturday. Doors open at 7 p.m.

As previously reported, The Criterion closed its doors in March due to the coronavirus pandemic and has canceled or postponed numerous shows in the past few months because of the COVID-19 crisis.

Due to a recently approved Oklahoma City ordinance, anyone who enters The Criterion, including staff and patrons, will be required to wear masks throughout the event.

Hand sanitizer will be readily available, additional cleaning staff will be on duty, and social distancing will be strongly encouraged, according to the venue’s COVID-19 protocols. The venue’s capacity has been reduced to assist in allowing for everyone to have plenty of space.

Despite the venue’s precautions, patrons are advised that they are entering at their own risk, and despite the best efforts of management and staff, COVID-19 infection is still a possibility.

All VIP tables will be filled on a first come, first serve basis when ticketholders arrive with their groups. VIP tabletop tickets premium viewing floor seats, early venue entry, koozies, dedicated bar service station, and each table will be automatically entered for a chance to win an autographed Cody Johnson guitar.

Tickets for Saturday’s concert are available via etix.com.
