PITTSBURGH, PA — The Allegheny County Health Department on Tuesday reported one new coronavirus deaths. The county death toll now stands at 260.
The latest victim, who was in their 60s, died Aug. 7.
The county reported 76 new cases. The total number of cases in the county during the outbreak is 9,088.
In the newest cases, ages range from seven to 94 years old with the median age being 49.
Seven hundred and thirty-seven people been hospitalized in the county during the outbreak. Two new hospitalizations were reported.
With 1,553 cases in Westmoreland County, 1,326 in Beaver County, 855 in Washington County and 671 in Butler County, that brings the total number of cases in the five-county region to 13413 when Allegheny County numbers are included.
According to the state Department of Health, there have been 426 deaths in the region from the virus: Two hundred and sixtty in Allegheny County, 92 in Beaver County, 46 in Westmoreland County, 15 in Butler County and 13 in Washington County. Washington reported one new death.
