PITTSBURGH, PA — The Allegheny County Health Department on M0nday reported two new coronavirus deaths. The county death toll now stands at 290.

One of the latest victims was in their 80s, the other in their 90s.

The county reported 71 new cases. The total number of cases in the county during the outbreak is 9,504. There have been 870 hospitalizations in the county during the outbreak.

With 1,620 cases in Westmoreland County, 1,407 in Beaver County, 903 in Washington County and 718 in Butler County, that brings the total number of cases in the five-county region to 14,142 when Allegheny County numbers are included.

According to the state Department of Health, there have been 466 deaths in the region from the virus: Two hundred and ninety in Allegheny County, 94 in Beaver County, 48 in Westmoreland
County, 17 in Butler County and 17 in Washington County.
