PITTSBURGH, PA — The Allegheny County Health Department on Thursday reported one new coronavirus death. The county death toll now stands at 298.
The county reported100 new cases. The total number of cases in the county during the outbreak is 9676. There have been 911 hospitalizations in the county during the outbreak.
With 1,658 cases in Westmoreland County, 1,437 in Beaver County, 930 in Washington County and 732 in Butler County, that brings the total number of cases in the five-county region to 14,433 when Allegheny County numbers are included.
According to the state Department of Health, there have been 480 deaths in the region from the virus: Two hundred and ninety-eight in Allegheny County, 95 in Beaver County, 49 in Westmoreland County, 21 in Washington County and 17 in Butler County.
