South Carolina falls out of top 10 states where women are killed by men. For the first time since the data has been tracked, South Carolina came in at No. 11 on a rank of states where women are killed by men. Lawmakers approve plan to spend the remaining COVID-19 relief money. On Wednesday, legislators appropriated the remaining $693 million in COVID-19 relief funds. Most of the money will go to replenishing the state’s unemployment fund ($420 million), with the remaining: $115 million to education and government agencies; $93 million on COVID-19 testing; $25 million for nonprofit grants; and $40 million for minority and small businesses.
